We got married at the Red Cliffs Lodge, just down the road from Castleton Tower. It was perfect-- sunset hit just at the right time, good temps, there were rooms for the more well-off guests, and free camping just a couple minutes up the road for dirtbags. Rates were pretty reasonable as far as hotels go (way cheaper than the Sorrel River Ranch up the river). The only drawback is that Utah law required them to provide the beer, so we couldn't get a keg from the local breweries or anything. |

We tied the knot five years ago in a pretty meadow at Lumpy Ridge, near Estes Park. Lots and lots of easy accommodations there; we stayed at a cabin-y place west of town. Reception happened down the road 20 miles at Oskar Blues in Lyons. They accommodated our 30 people or so effortlessly, let everybody order whatever they wanted, didn't charge us any extra, just asked for notification of numbers about a week ahead of time so they could order food and staff for us. Low key and cheap! |

We got married in Estes Park at the YMCA of the Rockies. |
