Love it! I remember that there was a pocket near the top of this climb that was always full of mud, no matter how long it had been since the previous rain storm.

Royal Arches, in the ditch.

It was one of my first long climbs and I've taken many first timers up it...including my wife. I heard a Chouinard quote about how your first climb shapes you as a climber and I think this one's a good first climb...

I don't know what it is, but i love the decent down north dome gully too!

East Face of the Third Flatiron. The plaque on the summit inspired me, but I still have a long way to go!

Dusty, yeah! Muddy pockets are kind of a signature move in Iowa.

Fun thread!

By far the most repeats on:
Mike's Books on intersection rock. The top is so nostalgic! :...)

Definitely Refer Madness. It was the warmup until I sent Ten Digit Dialing. In fact I added 2 more sends of Refer Madness this weekend. Back at The New it was She Got the Bosch and I Got Drilled.

I cannot believe no one has owned up to heavily trafficking Bastille Crack...so I'll take the bullet. It is so convenient! Easy! Steep! Beginners are impressed and terrified! No approach! No descent to speak of!

EDIT: Yeah, Brian. I'll answer the political thread manana.

EDIT 2: Hank or Scott or someone...will ya drag me up the Edge?

While living in Minnesota during my youth I must have done the short route Slicksides at Taylors Falls (Interstate Park) over a hundred times.
I had it so wired that I could downclimb it ropeless and blindfolded.
I did another line there called Fancy Dancer so many times that I was able to lead it in the rain wearing floppy tennis shoes and a pack.
