i thought stonehouse was closed. got harassed by a local guy a few years back, said it was private property and we had no right to be there...

I just moved to NH and was wondering where these places are. I live in Sunapee so no idea how close it is. Any info would be great

Thanks

Directions to Pawtuckaway can be found here.

I'm not sure where Stonehouse is. Never heard of it.

I haven't climbed there since the early 80's. We used to ask the landowners permission to climb there. Do you still have to do that? Or is there a more open policy?

Different landowner. To the best of my understanding, NH land trust or some portion of the state gov't purchased the land and climbing isn't an issue anymore. I'm not sure what the deal is on new fixed hardware. I tried to contact the local PD to no avail.

STONE HOUSE IS NOT OPEN....You will get a HEFTY fine if you climb there...350 dollars to be exact, I got one this spring, if the landowner is there he will call the police and wait there until the police come, nevermind the bashing you will get from fish and game like I did.

Thanks for the update, I'll make sure to stay away. I wasn't aware, my bad.
