I'm digging the new BD flash ad here on the MP pages of the guy taking the huge whipper and scraping the crash pad with his feet. Anyone know what route that is and/or the story behind the scene?

Yeah I noticed that ad too. Seems like one more bolt on that route would sure be nice...

There are no bolts on Gaia....

Ah, gotcha. Did he place cams or tied knots seeing as it's gritstone? Sweet video, thanks!

wow...didn't realize that was a flash attempt. Especially considering that in the first video posted at ~40 secs in that guy takes a fall that breaks his leg.

Also I think it is in one of the Dosage movies, but watching Lisa Rands work that line gives you a better perspective of how exposed it is.

Ever since I first saw it, I think of that fall whenever I read someone saying you should jump a little bit when you catch a fall to soften the impact, and conversely that *taking in* rope is tantamount to instant disaster.

Alex Honnold is a badass in that vimeo clip. Yall see True Grit? In that film, some Brit dude is all screaming and sketched out on what might have been the FA of End of the Affair. Honnold makes it look like 5.9. He freaking take his hands off just for show. damn dude, badass!!
