Switzerland Climbing Areas?

My sister lives in Basel Switzerland and has been battling terminal cancer for 2 1/2 years. I am going to see her in a week to pretty much say my good-byes to her. I will be there about 10 days of which one is saved for going to lay eyes on the Eiger. This might leave me a day or two at the max to check out any Climbing Areas near Basel. Do any of you folk know of any? I'm just interested in looking around and do not plan on climbing. Sport areas near the road would be the best due to not having much time there. Thanks for any help with this matter!

I climbed at two areas near Zürich, which is not too far from Basel. We climbed on the Brüggler, a multi-pitch crag in beautiful surroundings.

and we climbed at a sport area near there called the Galerie, which is right by the road:

Here are different sources of information for climbing in these areas:
- camptocamp (the equivalent of this site in Europe)
- "suisse plaisir" topos: filidor.ch/german/frame.htm. Ok it's german but your sister will be pleased to help you :). And since it's all about climbing, sure you will probably get most of it!

There are a few Swiss destinations presented here on MP, all South of Zurich. These areas are about 2 hours from Basel, but present some great climbing in very beautiful venues. Furkapass, in particular, has excellent 3 to 6 pitch routes on granite in an absolutely stunning setting, about an hour's hike from the road. Furka is reasonably well bolted, though you'll probably want a single set of cams. Melchtal is a vertical limestone wall in another perfect Swiss valley with safe bolting. It's worth the drive.

Furka and Grimsel are great areas but a little out of the way for you.

Right next to Basel is the Basler Jura.
There's a lot to climb, mostly single pitch sport climbs o limestone.
