Ring in the New Year with some New Beer? |
should be down for this. Look forward to seeing everyone. |
Not sure I am ready to meet all of you guys in person, but I have to get into the real world eventually...at least that is what my therapist says...Count me in. |
There are enough S County and Denver visitors to make Lyons a bad idea, but about anything in Boulder is OK. |
My vote is for DH but I will go wherever. |
I will probably show. I wouldn't mind hitting the BRC before if anyone is interested. |
Dang-git, I'll be out of town again :-( |
I'm game. Any place that serves beer sounds good to me. |
ok, in my new year list of "want to's" I said i'd make it to one of these beer drinking events. This seems like as good a time as any to start! |

MikeP you could be in luck, I think the DH spins Abba's greatest hits |

Do they play music upstairs? If not I wonder if we can bring our own. |

Tony Bubb wrote:They might, and there is late Kareoke at the DH, but it's downstairs back by the kitchen and we are always up in our 'private room' upstairs. I happen to have Abba's Greatest Hits though, and you can bring a boom box and sing along. Or, we can all get on our good drunk and go take over Kareoke for a song or two... Sounds like the folks in thei crowd that have said anything are leaning Darkhorse or S. Sun. Any other ideas? I guess there is nothing wrong with "ole reliable." Tony, I will "out ABBA" you anytime anywhere! Anybody up for a Gordon Lightfoot/John Denver showdown? |
Geez Hank, the red wine just about came out my nose...Gordon Lightfoot? C'mon now, give us some of that Electric Avenue that you busted out at gnome's party. I'll spare everyone my karaoke. You know you've had one too many when you start doing duets and think you sound great doing Islands in the Stream. We were politely asked to leave not just the stage, but the bar. |

Justin Cantrall wrote:I'm a tool. I have this f'n epic day at Vail, and somehow get it into my head that the beer night was tonight. So upon arriving back in Boulder, I stop by the DH... to find the upstairs closed off, and no one I recognize present. I ask a random guy if today is Wednesday, and he looks at me like I'm tripping, and shiftily says "yeah......." I then ask him what time it is, and he replies "about 15 of 8..." At this point, my bewilderment must have been blatantly obvious. I say "thanks" and walk away; I hear him start laughing and saying something to his friend. I do one more lap of the DH just to make sure that I am, in fact, not tripping; and come to the same conclusion as before: except for the barkeep, I don't recognize anyone here! I return home, logon to mp, and realize my folly. Did you like my story? Actually a very MP response. Just make it to the actual get together. Bad deed turned good. |

I should be able to make it. If anyone near downtown Denver wants to carpool give me a holler. I'll be leaving from near 1st Ave and Broadway. |
I might show up. Where is everyone going? The Dark Horse is it? |
