I am leaving around 3 today.
no need for money. I will pay gas and most your food :) all you need is a sleeping bag, warm clothes and some skin to rip off hahahaha.
Beer and booze is taken care of via certain sponsors :) Let me know. I will actually be in the fort around noon today. we are leaving from there. I also have a pal flying solo from the fort tomorrow. You could hop a ride with him as well. We have a small bit of room today though if you choose to fly high!>

Hey SAL, how are those muscle relaxants treating you? :)

Seth,

Hang in there ... this might seem like a major issue, but try to keep positive. One one door closes another will open somewhere, soon. Trust me on this.

Check today's issue of the Summit Daily News. Its the free newspaper. I saw quite a few jobs advertised in it over the weekend. They might not be what you're looking for but might tie you over until your other job starts up...

Seth, for what its worth check out Little Guys Movers in Fort Collins. Ive worked there on and off for several years and there is pretty big turnover rate. Starts 8.00 per hour. You better have a thick skin and be ready to carry 300lb peices of furniture all day. No offense, but dont use me as a reference as I dont really know ya. Its pretty typical that folks will take the job and then realize its hard as hell and quit, hence the turnover. Probably the same case with moving companies across the state, so there maybe something a little closer to you. Also, Foco living costs are way cheaper than silverthorne. Good luck bro!

yo seth relax my man. summit is rad, i lived there for 5 years and still call it home. keep in mind you just moved to a ski town in the off season, after thanksgiving everywhere in town will be hiring!
i dont know what you are trying to do or what you have done in the past but i have some hook ups in breck at ski shops and a mexican restaurant in breck. i also worked for a contractor in breck who may or may not have work.....in silverthorne go check out old chicago or the dillon dam, virgin island ski rentals for a ski shop
the summit daily is your friend
good luck and hit up the creek for free, damn sal can i come too?

Seth--
go to the Creek. It's sublime, whether you can jam 5.10 or not. Yes, ya gotta find a job. Get right on that when you're back. A few days won't be as important as the memories, friendships, and mental snapshots you'll have if you go. Six months from now, you'll be here, making it comfortably, or scraping by. Either way, you'll be better off with this trip in your soul's pocket than without it.

Besides, Deaun and I are looking for you here... EDIT: Not in a good way.

Seth,
I manage a qdoba restuarant here in highlands ranch And I know we are getting ready to put a new store in silverthorne. go online and check it out. what job did you have lined up to begin with?

Seth,
I agree, when I moved out here, I didn't have a job and didn't look for work either...I just climbed and had fun for a few months...

You have the rest of your life to work, considering that the average age of retirement is closer to seventy - 50 years is a long time.

You should climb while you can.

John Langston wrote:The thing with the creek is, if Sal is driving it won't cost hardly anything. Stay the whole time, enjoy yourself, get your ass kicked. The whole process will cost you like $75. Get home and find some seasonal job at the resort. If you absolutely must work, I sent you a PM. But even then, it'll be like a week before you can start. Might as well go to the creek.

I love all the creek support :)

I feel this kids pain. It wont even cost him 75 bucks :) A free welcome to the kind colorado state :)
Hopefully were picking seth up on our way out today.
cheers yall!

Yo Seth, when I lived in Summit COunty (granted it was a long time ago) jobs were not the problem, affordable housing was. Go to The Creek and deal with the job issue later, even a good conservative like Shawn is telling you to do that.....

I'm trying not to freak out, its just kinda scary, I took a big leap of faith coming out here and don't regret it AT ALL, but its just like holy shit what am I gonna do. I'm trying to trust but its hard with no income haha.

I'm not trying to be picky, but I don't really have the back for moving furniture, I hurt it a while back and its no bueno...and no offense taken about not using you as a reference, you don't knwo me I wouldn't expect you to stick yourself on the line....tis all good my man.

and I will try and check those places out around breck etc...I heard from people that after Nov 1st most shit is filled up, didn't realize that it doesn't start getting hiring time til after thanksgiving. I'm trying to stay open, but something tells me I'm gonna end up back in the fort or somewhere there about...I looked through the SUmmit daily and there isn't much there.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
