How funny would it be

If you taped up a popular climb outside? How do you think people will react?

People would be extremely pissed. I've had enough of taped climbing my self...

I think most people would realize it was a joke & some would be amused, others annoyed.
But the risk of littering the area isn't worth finding out.
Maybe if you hung out on the next route over and took it all down before you left, but still...

All of the holds are "taped," too bad the only color is white. Really people, could you just focus on chalking up the good holds; all the options are confusing my onsight attempts. No, seriously I think it would be funny as long as no littering is involved.

I wouldn't want to be the one getting caught doing it. A big no-no.

Its not that hard, Just make sure to take your shirt off and dyno when ever possible/not possible.

i bet someone walking by or watching would say

"hey, that hold is off"

There's nothing more fun than rapping down an essentially blank face and chalking "holds" you find along the way.

So are tick marks equivalent to white tape?

Some friends and I were tossing around the idea of doing that on some of the more popular climbs at Smith Rock on April Fool's Day.

I think Mike's new route in BoCo could use some
