No larry they knew about it before it was posted on mtn project. I think it got cleaned up before they had a chance to do it.

I knew what you meant, I just find it sad rather than funny. I don't find much humor in things that have the potential to limit our climbing access. Also, I seriously doubt that the NPS needed the Internet to find this one. It's not like the Organ is a hidden, backcountry formation. Do we know who did this? Brad

No nobody knows who did it yet. But when I spoke with the backcountry director she was not veary upset about it, She just wanted to get it cleaned up. They had plans last friday to do it, and I got an email the day before from a local I contacted who said it was cleaned up already.

90% of what the Access Fund does is clean up access problems that were created by climbers. We are our own worst enemy.

There was a rumor it was cleaned last week but it wasn't. The rangers cleaned it yesterday (Sunday) afternoon.

Classic! eh? so now if you say something is lame it becomes your responsibility to take care of it? maybe i'm missing the point of what you're trying to say. i sometimes miss nuance in plain text. i agree it's funny, but only because the NPS got to it before we could. this kind of crap makes us look like we don't clean up after ourselves, which (as has been said) accounts for 90% of our access issues.

I would thank D.W. for cleaning it if he did in fact clean it but he didn't. He did have intentions of cleaning it but something must have come up. It was two other park rangers who did the cleaning. Just trying to give credit where it's due.

Larry How many phone calls did you make trying to get this cleaned up? Did you send anybody an e-mail or do anything at all? Or did you just bitch and moan like a little girl? Thanks to whoever cleaned this up, I owe you a KEG!!

Yup, I retract D.W. was scheduled to do it but said that the Park Service kept him indoors. He and I both give props to the folks that did.
