Hey does anyone know who might of jumped the tombstone today 1/4. They had a toyota truck and Idaho plates. I have video of them. The second guy pulled a half gainer and through his shoot upside down. The video is crazy! I'd like to get a copy to them if they want it.

It doesn't look like he/she was trying to do a gainer at all to me, just one of the fugliest exits EVER. He/she actually had a better opening than they deserved (no line twists). Great video and a good job of the jumper saving thier life......

the infamous "kickin' chicken" exit makes for a nice 90 left.

It looks like he/she exited with body position already 90 degrees left and then let the shoulder drop to an almost sideways position. No idea what "kicken' chicken" means tho....It appears to me to be a little more than a 90 degeree opening as well.

probably too strong of a push with the right leg on exit

the kickin' chicken is the swimming motion you make when you know you have botched the exit but you simply can't do anything about it without airspeed

No such thing as too strong of an exit push, all the push you can get is usually par the course for most Moab jumps. Out of over 300 Moab jumps, I always stagger my exit so my right leg gives me all the push. That was just a really bad exit all the way around. No amount of Kickin' was gonna save that jumpers crappy launch. Thank the Gods they are allright!

I have to agree with spanky here, to quote the late great Steve Mullholland . . . "that looked like things I haven't seen done in base before" and I will add, "at least not since mex 1997", good buddy! nice object avoidance though! be safe. I was considering opting out on Moab this wekend since it will be cold but now I think I may hit the gravel for a few quality flicks . . .

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
