I feel like the climbing season is winding down and i'm lost in a world where cams and carabiners can only sleep in their cozy little box till next season.... what am I talkng about! there's always the desert!

Where do you guys get your rock fix when the cold tries to keep you down?

I second. Put some socks on your ears and belay with gloves and it is all good.

Personally, I prefer any weather that allows me to lose all feeling in my hands. I find that I can do much better hand jams, as well as get flappers and still be able to climb! How cool is that!

Handwarmers in chalk bags anyone?

Let's see, 60ish in the shade on Saturday in Eldo. Super warm on the Flatirons on Sunday.

Nope, season is still in.

And Gigette, really looking forward to Vegas over Thanksgiving. Hope you and Jon are around. Like, 4 sure. Totally.

Maybe the season is ending in the coldest spot in Colorado, but not the rest of the state. Check out Unaweep or Buena Vista for alternatives to the desert.

Glad you guys can come play in Vegas/Red Rock, Tim. I hope the weather holds up nice for you during your stay. Yesterday, it felt like summer hiking in the heat; climbing in the shade was perfect! Jonny, and I will be around, as we both work the holidays... cause in our line of work, "the show must go on." ; ) Happy climbing, and see you guys soon! Maybe we can meet at the bizarro Peppermill restaurant, or something late one night after work, if you guys aren't doing an alpine start the following morning. We'll figure something out.

And Jim, it would have been so cool to see you too! Always a next time.

Stay warm,

G

Seasons End
Funny we thought the folks climbing in the sun looked hot yesterday so we started on a route in the shade @ Boulder Canyon. Last weekend at Lumpy was perfect expecting the same this coming weekend.
Ok so it aint gonna last so you may have to look past your back yard.
Thanksgiving @ Indian Creek and mid December a week @ Red Rocks

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
