Description Suggest change

This is another beautiful riverside bouldering gem! It is more spread out than the stuff in the CCWMA but just as spectacular. This area is also home to world class whitewater and is very popular on weekends. Parking is at a minimum on busy weekends but these boulders are literally 1 minute from the parking!

Check the Rowelsburg USGS river gage for water levels. You will have access to all of the boulders when the gage is at 3 feet or lower! If river gage reads higher than 10 feet the boulders are under water!!!

Getting There Suggest change

West Virginia Route 72 runs from just east of Kingwood south to Rowelsburg. There are several pull outs along this road to access the riverside bouldering. Check for parking coordinates on each sub area.
