Mount LeConte is the high peak behind Lone Pine Peak and just north of Mount Corcoran.

Getting There Suggest change

The best starting point for most of the routes on Mount LeConte is Meysan Lake. The trailhead starts just below Whitney Portal. You actually park on Whitney Portal road and walk through the campground to access the trail. Meysan Lake is about 7 miles from the trailhead. From Meysan Lake, ascend one of the scree chutes to a plateau between LeConte and Mallory. From this plateau you can access most of the routes to climb Mount LeConte.
