ALL SEASONAL CLIMBING CLOSURES FOR CLIMBING AND SLACKLINING WILL BE LIFTED ON FRIDAY, JULY 7TH THIS WEEK.
THANKS, EVERYONE FOR YOUR HELP IN OBSERVING RESTRICTIONS DURING THE NESTING SEASON!
There are many seasonal raptor closures with varying dates and specific boundaries. These generally effect The Monument, Kiss of the Lepers, Picnic Lunch Wall and/or Smith Rock group, and possibly elsewhere. These usually run from February to the beginning of August, but each closure is usually shorter than this, and is dependent on the birds' behavior. Check this site for details: smithrock.com/seasonal-clos…
Description
The collection of boulders at the Northern Point. They are generally to the climber's right of Northern Point sport routes. These are just the boulders uphill at the Northern Point, if you're looking for Jizzsap and the like, navigate to the Sappy Boulders, which are downhill of this zone.
Getting There
Park at the loop at the end of the road, then take the trail to the Northern Point. When you get to a fork, take the left (Homestead Trail) and when you drop below the cliffband, don't turn and switchback left, but go straight onto a rocky trail and begin looking up and to the right for the boulders, they're hard to miss. Here you have a smattering of boulders, all listed in the guidebook.
