Description
Topo here. This wall offers long, two-pitch trad and mixed routes. Extensive cleaning to remove dirt and loose rock has made these lines safer and the rock quality throughout the upper three-quarters is very good. Many lines can be linked into one long pitch with a 70m rope, though there are also plentiful midway gear anchor options.
The section above Sportstar has routes with nearly all bolts except one or two trad pieces.
Groove, Blind Bear, Handspan, and Sportstar anchors provide convenient TR and rappel avenues to get down from the ridge.
Shade in the morning and sun by early afternoon.
Getting There
From the Peavine Trail (just south of Point of Rocks), take the Virginian Trail through a gate. Aim for the middle/west facing section of Easter Peak. Hop the fence at its end (just where it meets the wall) and take rough trail beside the northwest buttress to enter the Middle section of Easter Peak. Take steps up and keep right, scrambling 3rd class, right of two trees.
