Description

Somewhat of a novelty for the VOC area, Gargoyle Wall is an accessible sport-climbing venue on a gently overhanging panel of generously-featured Coconino sandstone. All routes are in the 5.10 to 5.11 range, and all are equipped with lower-off biners. The style is pumpy jug-hauling with a tasteful amount of crusty rock to remind you where you are.

Getting There

Follow the standard approach to the saddle between Castle Rock and North Castle Tower. From the saddle, scramble directly up the broken ridge to the base of the vertical panel on the far right side of the north face of Castle Rock.
