Description Suggest change

One trad route and an open project are the two lines on this small formation in a pleasant setting close to the Foolhen Trail. The climbing is on the east face. 60 m rope is all you need.

Getting There Suggest change

Independence Pin is an isolated spire at the very southern end of a long north-south formation just above Foolhen Trail. Easy access from trail. Hike on Foolhen north toward King and Queen pins. Cross the small rivulet and the trail goes steeply uphill topping out at a small saddle. You're standing next to a thin fin of rock is close by on your left (south). Independence Pin is the formation slightly uphill on your right. Hike a short distance around the top of the formation to the east side and descend slightly to the climbing.
