Description
Circus Wall is a decent option for a warm spring day, when you want to try to stay in the shade most of the day and options are limited by raptor closures. The approach is on the longer side, but you're rewarded with some great climbs that are still crispy.
Getting There
Drive down Beef Basin past the Cottonwoods turnoff, and take a right off the road at 4.8 miles. This will take you to a camp site with parking in front of The Prow. Walk back down the road a hundred yards or so and follow a faint trail to the wash. Follow this toward the back of the canyon and eventually veer right toward the obvious tower-like features at the corner where the N and E faces of Circus Wall meet. Do your best to follow cairns up the cone - if you did it right, the trail should spit you out in front of "Punch the Clown".
