Description
Goat Ridge is the long rib of rock to the immediate right of the North Gulley. From Sea Level, it runs to two prominent spires named "The Goat Horns"
The ridge is broken up into multiple steps and sub formations with many climbs on the lower level and a growing handfull of routes that pierce the upper tiers.
All these features face into the sun and are very pleasant spring/fall climbing options. In the summer the walls bake in the sun starting in late morning.
Most routes are quite slabby featuring a plethora of holds. Many climbs here are safest climbed with an 80m rope and it is very important to tie knots at the end of your ropes.
Getting There
Current approach is via the North Gulley.
Walk uphill in Gulley until you reach a notch in the ridge on your right. Climb notch with hand line to reach a trail through alder and seasinally dense brush including a persistent stinging nettle garden. In summer the brush can be intense and needs weekly trimmings, feel free to lend a hand. Please be aware of your exposure as you are on a ledge a few hundred feet over the ocean.
