White Slab (aka Venice Slab) is a great place to bring beginner climbers eager to lead to learn basic multipitch systems and rappeling. 1 longer very easy single pitch on cleaner slabby rock with newer bolts and a slightly tougher 2-pitch route on grainy slab with small cobbles and older bolts. Area has been referred to as The area with this large gray colored low angle rock in the photo has  been referred to as The Venice Slab since the first routes were established here in the 1980’s. Information is published in the rock climbing guidebook Getting High in L A 1990. 

Getting There Suggest change

Hike down from the Topanga Lookout Trailhead past the old lookout foundation a short ways until you see the top of the slab. Continue down the trail a little further until you see use trails leading to the slabs at the base of the two bolted slab routes here.
