Description
Decent boulder with a bunch of easy problems. A great warmup spot for the harder problems at the Turtle Boulder.
This boulder is named for Dave Antaya, an old friend who died a while back. He explored this area and told me about it but we never got to check it out together. He had named the whole area the Trophy Buck boulders because he saw a big buck while looking for boulders.
Getting There
Take the approach to Razer Rock, but instead of cutting right continue as the trail entres the powerlines. The trail turns right and uphill for a short bit then turns left back into the woods on the other side of the powerlines. Take the first right fork and then follow this trail until reaching an intersection where you will turn left, keep going for another minute until you reach another intersection. Continue left again and this trail will bring you to the trail that runs along far back the of the preserve and to the Turtle boulder. From here you will can the boulder on your left on top of a big hill. Might be hard to see when the leaves are in. There is no current trail direct to this boulder.
