Description
Lammi is a local area if you are looking for a shady crag that stays dry in the rain! Dozens of high-quality, fun routes from 6c to 8a. The rock here is limestone, with steep jugs, edges, and flakes. Easy approach and parking next to the river. Not the most classic crag but a good place to visit if you are in the Meiringen area waiting for weather to clear.
The rock here stays dry in the rain and the routes are usually overhanging enduro routes. Some routes are up to 30m. See the Schweiz Extrem West Band 1 guidebook for a list of all routes.
Getting There
From Meringen, drive towards Aareschlucht and park in the free spots in a large gravel pullout on the right across from the river before you get to the parking lot for Aareschlucht. Park in the large dirt lot on the right, next to the river before you reach the Aareschlutcht. Just across from the Du Pont restaurant. Hike up the small paved footpath across from the footbridge across the river in between some houses. Hike with river to your right and then after the first house on your left, pick up a trail that wraps around a house and then cuts back east.
This quicky turns to dirt and there will be a small quarry on your right. After about 200 yards there is an approach trail leading into the woods on your right, next to a mossy boulder. This leads directly to the cliff. 10 min max.
