Description
This is the only beginner trad crag I am aware of in the Colorado Springs vicinity. The rock quality ranges from good to Turkey Rock-esque (Carmel by the Sea). What the crag lacks in height is made up for in steepness. There is just about every style of jamming on this crag: tips, fingers, ring locks, thin hands, hands, cups, fists, and even some butterfly stacks if you wish. The grades are easy, and there are many face features to assist you as you learn different jamming techniques.
Getting There
To get to this crag, follow the Keith Haring base area to “Safe Sex,” turn right, and follow cairns straight through talus for about 2 minutes to the base of this crag. This faces East and receives morning sun.
