Description
A secluded gem about a quarter of the way up the Rock Garden trail. It is ringed by multiple large boulders to create a bowl-shaped area that stays shady for much of the day.
Getting There
Walk up the Rock Garden trail about a half mile until it turns west. Jump off the trail on the left as though you are going to the Poison Ivy boulder. Avoid stepping on a cactus. It can be a bit tricky to find because it is ringed by trees and rocks, but it is about thirty yards east of the Poison Ivy boulder. Look for the two massive boulders that form the south and west sides of the bowl. Shimmy over and in and enjoy the shade.
