Description

This horizontal prow of fine grained Rushmore granite is visible from the trail, proudly protruding from the west facing hillside. Gets direct afternoon sun in the winter.

Getting There

Take the approach train into emancipation. After a few minutes the trees open to a grassy valley. When you reach the large Mini Marker boulder turn right and you will see this boulder a short distance up the hillside.
