Description

Rock quality ranges from good (Camelback Mountain) to great (Superstitions) to various other fun qualities of stone. Think positive and climb gently. Certain areas do have bullet-hard rock but the routes in this quadrant do not.

Getting There

Approach will vary depending on entry into the range. Plan on 5 hours to 24 hours. Impenetrable walls of brush and lack of water will dissuade all but the most dedicated city slickers. Levi’s, chaps, gloves should be considered for any off trail travel.
