Bouldering at Pistol Ridge

Getting There

Park near the bridge at the split of FS Rd. 9. Walk a few yards down 9b (right fork) and look for a trail on the left side of the road. The guidebook says take the 2nd trail on the left, but there is a false trailhead that appears to be 2nd if trying to count from the gate. The false trail has a national forest sign and eventually disappears on you about 300 yards left of the actual approach. The real trail starts about 50-100 feet after the bullet-riddled road sign that can now be seen in this photo.

Follow the long trail to the wall.
