Description

The largest boulder in the Klettergarten beneath Stronghold Dome. Directly across from the Dreamwalker Boulder. The West face hosts a couple of short bolted routes that have been bouldered since their original FA. The Southside overhang has been cleaned and sent but is only one star. At least one other line on this massive house-sized boulder has been sussed, cleaned, and left undone.

Getting There

Follow the trail under Stronghold Dome through the last forest, until you stand atop an outcropping. Dreamwalker can be seen just down the hill from this perch. Continue clockwise around this boulder & you'll walk under Full Apache, then you'll see Tears in the Garden across the mini gully through the trees.

You can also hike directly through the boulder field leaving the main trail as for Tip Toeing in my Jordans, but rather than heading left towards the Tip Toeing Boulder, head down & right across slick rock until deposited into the wash. Follow the wash up through other big boulders until it is clear enough to cut right up towards the boulder field around Tears. This option kinda sucks with a pad.
