ROUTE DETAILS IN PHOTOS
This gorgeous little sandstone outcropping sits on top of a ridge close to the river. Less than 5 minutes away from Norfork, Arkansas (brewery, food, and gear store w/rental pads) this little honey hole offers some great steep and moderate bouldering! Camping available at the parking area, but PLEASE pick up yours/any trash! Short sweet approach with a good trail!
Getting There
Make your way on HWY 341 to the Matney Knob Trail head. From the main trail head parking take an IMMIDIATE right following a decent 2-track road till its very end to reach main parking. Trail is on the right and takes you down the hill to obvious rock stack/steps.
Camping/Parking*
1. The Two-Track Road:
There are some puddles/mud spots after rain but most vehicles can make it. If it feels risky or your car is a lowrider DONT RISK IT!
park at main trail head and hike in (adds 5 minutes to approach)
2. Parking: the closest to the trail parking allows about 4 cars with space to leave DONT BLOCK PEOPLE IN
there is a secondary clearing halfway down the two-track for over flow/camping
3. Camping: This is Forest Service/Public Land and all laws and regulations apply here. If you need a reminder of what those rules are, check out the kiosk at the main trail head. As climbers yall should know better than to make a mess or do anything that would access in danger. Keep it clean and have fun!
