Description
Bicchu is the main climbing area with more than 300 routes. Lots of local climbers as well as visitors from other prefectures. Not many/almost no climbers from other countries. Be communicative and respect locals.
For bouldering, the Ojigatake area in Tamano is probably the most well-known. Some consider it to be the birthplace of Japan bouldering, with climbers exploring the area since the 1970s. Best accessed through a car, with well paved roads up the mountain and a large parking lot. Public transit is possible but a long detour.
