#2 is a little tricky considering the shoulder and the crag is on United State Forest Service land (Free), while the PARKING is on CPW land.

As of April 5th, the Pikes Peak Climber's Alliance announced that Thunder Ridge is CURRENTLY CLOSED due to COVID-19. Please respect this closure, and check in with PPCA on updates as COVID-19 stay at home orders and impacts reduce over the coming months.
Please do your best to maintain good relationships with the people who own the land in this area. Do not drive your vehicle past the "private property" sign. Do not go up to the house to ask for directions to the crag. Do not ride your bike down the road. Please move immediately to the side of the road if any landowners are approaching in their vehicles.
Description
Situated high above the other crags of Thunder Ridge, Valhalla offers solitude, rope-stretching routes, and amazing views for the climbers willing to make the trek. The climbing is faceted with classic Thunder Ridge chickenheads and patina, which is fortunate because even the easiest routes surmount large overhangs on features that feel too good to be true. This southwest-facing wall soaks in the sun, making it a good climbing destination in the spring, autumn and warm winter days. Due to its position along the top ridgeline, the valley it lies in can funnel wind and is not recommended when the Westcreek weather forecast looks gusty.
Developed over 15 years, the crag was established in the traditional Thunder Ridge style: all bolts drilled on lead from stances, hooks, or marginal gear-placements. Almost all routes are mixed and require gear to supplement any bolts. The majority of the routes in the middle of the crag approach 115 feet in height, making a 70m rope a necessity. Each route is listed with a recommended range of gear and should only be considered a recommendation: some may require more gear if you have not climbed them before or place gear more frequently.
Valhalla has a very remote feeling compared to other Thunder crags. Deer, elk, bighorn sheep, coyotes, foxes, bears, bobcats, and mountain lions have all been observed in the area. Take some time to soak in the surroundings while enjoying the routes.
Getting There
The approach to Valhalla winds through seldom-visted canyons and aspen groves. Most Thunder Ridge approaches are 1.5 miles from the parking lot, Valhalla adds on another 1 mile and decent elevation gain, thankfully avoiding boulderhopping, scree or deadfall. Approach via the standard Thunder Ridge trail until reaching the 1.3 mile mark. You will have crested the last hill before descending down to the Quarry Wall. At the top of that hill, look for a faint trail trending left. Follow this trail down to a small water crossing amidst the reeds. Switchback upwards on the other side, and trend right over a series of exposed slopes with the occasional cairn marking the way. This will lead to rock slabs that guide you into Eagle Canyon. Follow a series of narrow passages and rock ledges through Eagle Canyon (my favorite part of the hike) until you come to an opening. A short jaunt to the right leads to Meadow Rock. Continue straight to enter the valley that leads up to Valhalla on the left skyline.
