Description
West Creek is a less visited area of the South Platte with incredible climbing on Thunder Ridge and the better known, near-the-road Sheep's Nose. There are single pitch and multi-pitch climbs ranging from 5.6 to 5.14. There are bolted and traditional climbs here. This area requires effort to climb. It is principally a Spring, Summer, and Fall area due to road conditions.
Getting There
Go down CO 126 until you reach Deckers. Keep going for a long way until CO 126 meets CO 67, and keep south on CO 67, turn right on 68 going to Westcreek, and take a right on Stump Road. The first formation you will see is Sheep's Nose on the right and is a big dome looking formation (has nice boulder problems on approach!).
