Description
Close from Halifax, the Virginia Slab is a mostly bolted cliff about 15 m high at the most. It got 9 bolted line and a couple of trad line. The climbing is sustained so the climbs might be short, but they offer a lot of good climbing for a 15 m cliff. It's white granite with small crystals and pebbles that sticks out. Good technical slab climbing and balancy moves will get up, but you won't have a lot to hold at some point.
Getting There
Drive until the end of Virginia Drive (44.692891, -63.758768), park in the turnaround. From there, there is an unmark trail that begins on the south-east side of the turnaround. The first 10 meters of the trail is intentionally discreet but after that, it's easy to follow. It take about 10 minutes to reach the cliff. You'll reach the top first and then, you'll follow the path (south) that goes to the base.
