Description Suggest change

Very small area with an eclectic mix of options of varying quality. The main attraction is the short cave, but there's also some easy slab and potential for some quirkly lowballs on free-standing stuff below the cave.

Not worth traveling any distance for but if you happen to live or be passing nearby (or just want to train steep cave moves), there is some fun stuff.

Getting There Suggest change

Park at the large pullout on the power line crossing on Blackstrap Road about 2/3 of a mile south of its intersection with Babbidge Road. Follow the obvious snowmobile/mtn bike trail northwest through the power lines. The walk in is about a half mile - you'll go down past a large wetland/pond and then back up to a nice viewpoint on exposed ledge.

This is also adjacent to Falmouth Land Trust's Blackstrap Hill Preserve, and you can get right to the climbing on their trails, though it will be a much longer walk.

When you're standing at the viewpoint looking north the slabs are down around on the left (the trail goes right to them). To get to the cave keep walking over the viewpoint and then left through the blueberries and juniper. You'll soon find yourself on the lip of the cave or looking back at it if you go too far.
