Description Suggest change

A wide gully just below Pine Creek Lake proper, this talus field has far more potential than it seems at a glance. There are a few nice lines visible from the trail, which turns into a playground upon closer inspection. This area feels far more alpine and remote than all the other bouldering here, and offers some really unique climbing on quartz blocks and mica fins. Many of the lines here start in pits or caves at the foot of boulders, and it will therefore be pretty hard to find lines without the reference pictures.

Getting There Suggest change

Follow the trail up to Jewel Lake (the middle of the three), and continue past the lake heading South towards Black Mountain. There will be a slightly less prominent footpath departing the main trail that is usually used to summit Black, and this will lead you to the talus field containing the boulders. Boulders start about 300m after leaving the lake, with the main concentration sitting on a bench on the East side of the draw about 50m further.
