Description Suggest change

This area describes snow, ice, and mixed routes on Anderson Peak near Grizzly Reservoir south of Independence Pass. The north face of this peak is flush with couloirs, likely all of which have been climbed.

Getting There Suggest change

From CO Hwy 82 east of Aspen, turn south onto the Lincoln Creek Road (CR 23) and follow it for 9.8 miles past Grizzly Reservoir to the Anderson/Petroleum trailhead on the right. Depending on season the road may be closed by snow south of the reservoir, extending the approach. Hike west up the trail to Anderson Lake beneath the north face of the peak.
