Description
This crag was first developed for a climbing competition organized by the Tajikistan Climbing Federation in 2013. It is a short 30 minute drive from the city and only a 15 minute hike from the trail head. Currently there are 5 bolted routes 5.7 and up and there is potential for a few more routes. From 11am the crag is in the shade making it an ideal summer spot.
Getting There
Drive north of Dushanbe toward Varzob until you reach the round-a-bout that allows you to turn east toward Chorbogh. Instead of continuing north toward Varzob turn left to go up the hill toward Chorbogh. Continue driving up the main road, stay right until you cross a bridge. Immediately after the bridge continue up steep switch backs and through the upper village or Chorbogh. Continue staying left on the main road until you come to the final village where you can park. From where ever you park, hike to the end of the village and continue hiking along a river that splits to two canyons, go left and continue up the trail until you see a big north facing rock to your left.
