Description

The Wake Up Call formation is a pinnacle uphill and left of the main Winter Wall and Upper Tier areas. This beautiful crag, plainly visible from the trailhead, features several excellent routes and an open Kristian Solem project. It's namesake route, Wake Up Call, is among the very best climbs in the area, a mega classic you will never forget.

Regarding Buzz Killer, it's been close to 20 years since I tried it last, so it's possible that it's been red pointed since. I kind of doubt it though, it's not the kind of climb that a first time visitor to the area is going to be drawn to. So, if you get up there and send, PM me and post in the comments. KS.

Getting There

Proceed up the hill as if headed to the Winter Wall. Up high you will come to a point where it is obvious to turn uphill left, climbing the even less travelled gully up to the formation. It will look like this: https://www.mountainproject.com/photo/124404601

Area Details

The Wake Up Call formation is a free standing tower uphill and north of the main Rincon climbing. It features two great climbs, and an old Kristian Solem project which, as of this posting, has most likely not seen a redpoint lead.
