In Quechua waqra means 'horn' and hirka means mountain; Horn mountain!

This is a cool little bouldering area that's basically in town and offers some nice problems on really good quality granite.

Unfortunately, boulders #1 and #10 have been dynamited to make way for more housing. Climb em before they're gone! 

Getting There Suggest change

From Huaraz drive uphill to the east and go through the arch of Huacrajirca. Then take a left and park when you get to a very large boulder.
