Description Suggest change

Lovka Wall is a 400 m long by 35 meter tall south east to south west facing limestone cliff.   As of 2023 there are 5 sectors with 50 ish routes.  Grades range from 5b to 7c. The climbing style is generally vertical to slightly overhanging with small roofs and the occasional tufa. The climbing season is best in spring and fall yet sending can be done year round depending on cloud cover and whether conditions. Crowds at the time of this writing are few and far between but this will likely change quickly due to the uniqueness of well-protected lines and many moderate grades. The cliff has a slight amphiteater shape providing southeast, south and southwest exposure. This area is surprisingly sheltered from the wind.

Getting There Suggest change

Approach time 10- 20 min

Approach to Lovka Wall.  Park at the end of the pavement in front of an abandoned house and follow a trail on the left ( East ) side of the property. Continue a hundred meters along a foot path next to a stone wall to an intersection. Turn right and follow Karens along a foot path for 200 meters to the top of the canyon rim. Start to zigzag your way downhill making a right hand turn after the prominent ramp that leads to the base of the cliff. A right hand turn at this point will bring you to east end of Sector Lovka.
