Description Suggest change

Knob Hill has some easy climbing on high quality rock. It is a very popular spot for groups, especially the summer camp across the street. Knob Hill Slabs have some of the best and most solid rock in the area, while the Quarry is a great place for a hot day. There are very easy routes at both areas. And it is only a 4 minute walk between the two areas.

The laid back angle and abundance of features means most routes are fairly straightforward. Cruxes tend to be short. In general, Knob Hill’s Slab and Quarry have a relaxed atmosphere with a short approach.

Getting There Suggest change

Drive seven minutes west of the town of Coleman. On the north side of the highway, in front of Crowsnest Lake, lies a huge paved pullout. Park here, dart across the road to a large patch of young re-growth. In a 100m the trail steepens. In another 50m it passes by the lower slabs.

To get to the Quarry, go about 100m uphill of the lower slabs to a dry creek bed. Follow this towards what looks like an old rock quarry. A small trail wanders up the right hand side of the outcropping.
