Description
An endless stream of granite boulders, plenty right along the road, going all the way up to Salt Log Gap near Cole Mountain. While there are a lot of lowballs scattered throughout the hillsides, there are so many highballs and overhangs and caves this area cant be missed. As of now, I have only put up two boulders (the first two you encounter according to the directions), but there are some insane projects ready to be put down. This is NOT SANDSTONE it is old rag style granite, bring your calluses or develop them here (not nearly as bad as The Hill though). There are some stellar lines waiting to be discovered with absolutely no access issues. All national forest land. There are a ton of campsites along the road, some of which are right next to open projects.
Getting There
Quickest way is from 56 at Massies Mill. Head up Dickie Road, pass the orchard and keep going on Jack's Hill Rd (gravel but definitely not 4x4), make a right on Perkins Mill Rd after the 5mph hairpin turn, continue straight until you see the George Washington National Forest sign and End State Maintenance. This is an FS road. Very manageable in a sedan from what I can tell. The first two roadside blocs are right after entering the NF on the left on the river. Stevie Wonder couldn't miss the bastards.
