Description Suggest change

This large block/boulder is tucked into the forest is therefore very shaded, even in summer I suspect. Most of the bolted granite routes face north, further making it a cool destination in warm temperatures. The routes are no longer than 25 feet or so although the guide book mentions a 30 meter route, which is probably a traverse around the north side. The routes have glue in bolts (four or five on each route) and sound anchors. The routes are short but surprisingly physical and techy outings.  I must admit that this was my least favorite climbing venue out of the 12 i climbed at during my Corsica holiday.

Getting There Suggest change

The quaint village of Ghjunchetu is found off of the T40 on a small winding and narrow road, the D165. Once in the village proper, take the first left and wind around and up the hill to a parking area on the left. There are about four or five spots, shaded by small trees. If you pass a soccer field of sorts you've gone too far. From the parking, walk back down the road, passing two or three buildings. Look for a gap between the buildings on your left. There is an old wooden sign that says "escalade" on it. Take this wide path past some trees buzzing with bees. Follow the path as it narrows and be on the look out for the blob of rock. Surprisingly hard to locate. The hike takes about five to ten minutes from the car.
