Description Suggest change

Laramie River Road is the quintessential northern Colorado area for summer and fall climbing. The name of the game here is beautiful mountain scenery and fantastic rock climbing that usually requires a bit more effort than you're probably used to. Much of the development here has occurred in the last decade. As much devastation as there was from the Cameron Peak Fire, much of Laramie River Valley where most of the climbing resides (besides Bristlecone Castle) was thankfully spared. This area is very popular for car camping during the summer and fall. There is already a lot of impact on the side road areas and dispersed camping from heavy usage, so please minimize your impact on this special place, and do your part keep it a pleasant place to visit for many years to come.

Getting There Suggest change

Drive 51 miles from Ted's Place on CO Highway 14 up the Poudre Canyon, and take a right on Laramie River Road (County Road 103).
