Description
A small boulder in the wash with a decent moderate and a couple of heinous lowballs. Featuring sharp limestone on the left, and an interesting limestone rail complex to the right.
Getting There
About 5-10 minutes downstream from the main Subway cave. Walk over a downed tree, and then under a larger downed tree. Walk between a couple of small boulders to your left, go past a very overhung white prow near and then go past (or around to the left) two more boulders that touch each other (with a space between them that can be crawled under). Shortly past this there is a decent sized boulder on your left and then the wash drops down about 5 feet with the Half-Shell Boulder rising out of the ground on your right. The easiest way to get to it is to walk to the right uphill where there is a large chossy looking boulder to the right. turn left and do a small U-turn into the wash. The Half-Shell Boulder is on the left side of the wash (looking upstream), next to a smaller boulder.
