Description

Ant Boulder is worth the walk, if you can find it hidden in the woods. It has quality rock, flat soft landings, and reasonable height. The downclimb is on the north side. There is potential for harder highballs on the west side.

Getting There

From the northeast corner of the Sailing Hawks Trail (near The Lorax), take the trail that goes north past Moria and Lego Tower, toward Square 1. About 11-14 minutes up that trail, watch for when when the trail goes through a notch in a small rock. Go left there (there is a small cairn next to rock). Bushwhack through the small, scrubby oak at about a 45 degree angle to the trail (10:30). Go over a small rise, then look down and left toward the Ant Boulder.
