Description
Emecik is a south east facing sector on the west side of the mountain behind the village of Emecik. As of 2022 the wall consisted of four routes with grades in the upper 6's and lower 7's. The climbs see little traffic and the approach can be quite brutal if you don't find the trail. This area is relatively sheltered from wind and can be a good option during cold days. Park on the side of a dirt road and don't leave valuables or energy drinks in the vehicle. Vandalism and theft have occurred all though hopefully it is a rare event.
Getting There
Emecik is approached by driving in the direction of Marmaris. Turn left on a dirt road with windmills in the distance. Park near (36.777396, 27.789877). You will see the obvious climbing area about a kilometer away. Follow the main drainage staying a few meters left of the dried upstream bed and walk towards the cliffs until the brush on your left gets thin. Hang a left and walk to the left side of the main cliff. Approach time 45 min with trail, 1:30 without trail.
