Coastal climbing on the Bay of Fundy. This area see's very little sun and as such there is a good chance you will find ice even when other areas around the Bay are out. It is know for it's fierce tides so plan accordingly. Most spots at Apple River you will have to climb out or hike quite far to find an access off the beach.
Getting There
From Amherst follow highway 302 to highway 242 and then to highway 209. Continue on 209 until until you past N Greville Rd and approximately 750 metres there should be a logging road on your ride hand side. Park and follow it heading towards the coast until you reach a T junction. Head left for about 500m there will be a trail heading towards the shore on your right Hike down and Rappel to the beach. the shortest and most obvious spot to rappel is Tumbledown Brook.
