Description
The Money Walls are a pair of tall, vertical walls looming ~650 feet above I-15. Between the two walls, there are around 25 sport routes, most of which are very generously bolted and often quite long. The location is significantly quieter than the walls in the lower gorge and has a beautiful view of the surrounding area. The walls were developed more recently, and the general quality of the rock is a bit variable, so expect to deal with some loose and crusty rock until this place sees more traffic.
Both walls face south/southeast, and are quite exposed to sun and wind. In the middle of winter, the walls are sunny until mid-afternoon. Best to leave this crag for an early start on a very cold and/or windy day or a late start on a warmer one.
Jerry Handren's "Mojave Limestone" guidebook covers this area pretty well, though some route information is missing.
