Description Suggest change

Discovered in 2021 by Derek Eisses after examining the winter version of an old Summer watering hole, 36 Chambers (inspired by the Wu-Tang album, as are most of the climbs) is a small crag featuring characteristically short climbs for the area (ie Folly). Climbs here tend to be steeper than Folly, making it an excellent place for new leaders to improve their craft. Most of the climbs require the river to be frozen in order to climb here, though rock hopping is an option. Another sector about 1km upriver yields a few further climbs.

Getting There Suggest change

Head North on the 102 towards Truro, getting off towards Onslow on exit 14A. Head North on route 4 towards North River. Stay left at the bridge and continue onto the dirt road. Keep going uphill past the farmland to grid 45.5097922, -63.2670376. Park here on the side of the road (stay clear of any driveways, we need the community goodwill!) and head East towards the river. There's typically a good trail from hikers and locals. This will take you to the main area.
